Our success story

OLBO already started producing industrial textiles in Germany over 130 years ago. In the 1930s, Mehler started to manufacture textile reinforcing materials for the rubber industry. MEP-OLBO was founded in 2006 through the merger of Mehler Engineered Products GmbH (MEP) and OLBO Industrietextilien GmbH and belongs now to the KAP Beteiligungs-AG. Hence, MEP-OLBO bundles 300 years of experience of both firms in manufacturing high quality technical textiles and employs about 1.200 people worldwide.
